🕊️ Fear not — Your Joy Has an Unshakable Source
📖 Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
10/31/2026
Paul wrote these words not during a time of freedom and prosperity, but while he was in prison. That is precisely why they carry such power. His joy did not depend on his circumstances but on his relationship with Christ. Situations change, but the Lord never does.
The Greek word for “rejoice” is χαίρω (chairō, KHAI-roh). It means to rejoice, to be glad, or to experience deep inner joy. This joy is far more than a passing emotion. It is a settled confidence that flows from fellowship with Christ and remains even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
That is why Paul specifically says, “in the Lord.” Our joy is not rooted in success, good health, or favorable circumstances, but in Jesus Himself. Because He lives, because He has redeemed us, and because He will never leave us, we have a reason to rejoice that can never be taken away.
📖 Nehemiah 8:10
“…for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Rejoicing in the Lord does not mean pretending that difficulties do not exist. It means trusting God even in the middle of life’s challenges. His presence gives peace, hope, and renewed strength, even when we cannot yet see the whole path before us.
📖 John 15:11
“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”
When Christ is the center of your life, no one can take away your deepest joy. It does not depend on changing circumstances but on the One who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
🙌 Therefore, fear not—your joy is secure and unshakable in Christ.
