🕊️ Do Not Fear — Give God What Belongs to Him

The opponents of Jesus wanted to trap Him with a trick question. But Jesus answered with a wisdom that completely destroyed their trap. He made it clear that there are things that belong to Caesar — but there is also something that belongs to God alone.

The coin bore the image of Caesar and therefore belonged within his realm of responsibility. But human beings bear the image of God. We were created in His likeness. Therefore, our heart, our life, our love, and our worship do not belong to this world, but to the Lord.

📖 Genesis 1:27
“God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him.”

It is easy to give God one part of our life while keeping the rest for ourselves. But Jesus calls us to wholehearted devotion. He is not only looking for our time on Sunday or our words in prayer. He desires our whole heart. Only when God has first place do we find the freedom and peace for which we long.

📖 Matthew 22:37
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

Today, do not only ask yourself what you can give to God, but whether your life truly belongs to Him. For the greatest expression of our love is not a single act, but a heart that entrusts itself to Him anew every day.
