🕊️ Do Not Fear — Correction Leads You to Life
📖 Proverbs 10:17 “He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.”

No one likes to be corrected. Our natural tendency is to defend ourselves rather than admit a mistake. Yet God’s Word shows us that correction is not a sign of rejection, but an expression of His love. Whoever is willing to receive correction remains on the path God has prepared for them.
The Hebrew word for correction is מוּסָר (mūsār – mu-SAR). It means instruction, training, and loving discipline. God does not want to put us down, but to shape us. His correction always has the purpose of drawing us closer to Him and keeping us from going astray.
David is an impressive example of this. After he had sinned seriously, God sent the prophet Nathan to him. David could have rejected the correction or silenced Nathan. Instead, he humbled himself before God, confessed his guilt, and found forgiveness and restoration.
📖 Psalm 51:17
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”
The second part of the verse describes the opposite. Whoever rejects correction moves step by step away from God’s path. Often this does not begin with one major decision, but with a heart that is no longer willing to listen.
📖 Hebrews 12:11
“All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”
When God corrects you, it is not because He is against you, but because He loves you. A good father does not allow his child to keep walking down a dangerous path. He calls the child back so that they may live.
🙌 Therefore: Do not fear — God’s correction is not a sign of His rejection, but of His love and care.
