🕊️ Do Not Fear — Through Jesus You Have Free Access to God

📖 Leviticus 16:4 “He shall put on the holy linen tunic, and he shall have the linen undergarments on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. These are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.”

How difficult it was even for the high priest under the Old Covenant to come before the Lord. Before he was allowed to enter the Most Holy Place, he had to wash himself completely, put on the holy garments, and follow God’s instructions down to the smallest detail. Nothing could be left to chance. The holiness of God demanded complete purity, and even disregarding His instructions could mean death. This shows us how unapproachable God was for sinful mankind.

The Hebrew word קָדוֹשׁ – qādōsh (kah-DOHSH): “holy, set apart” describes God’s perfect nature. He is completely pure and free from all sin. No human being could come before Him on the basis of their own righteousness.

But this is exactly where we see the greatness of what Jesus has done for us. He fulfilled everything the law required. Through His perfect sacrifice, He opened the way to God forever. We no longer need special garments or ceremonial washings, because we have been cleansed by the blood of Christ.

📖 Hebrews 10:19–22
“Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; and having a great priest over the house of God, let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water.”

What was once possible only for the high priest once a year can now be experienced by every believer at any time. We do not come into God’s presence because of our own performance, but only because of the grace of Jesus Christ. What an immeasurable privilege! Therefore, we should never take His presence for granted, but seek it daily with reverence, gratitude, and joy.

🙌 Therefore: Do not fear — through Jesus, the way to the Father is always open to you.
