🕊️ Fear Not — God’s Will Is Not Hidden

📖 Colossians 1:9 “For this reason, we also, since the day we heard this, do not cease praying and asking for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”

Many Christians ask themselves: “What is God’s will for my life?” Often, they are looking for one specific decision or a special sign. But Paul does not first pray that the Colossians would know their next step. Instead, he prays that they would be filled with the knowledge of His will. The Greek word for knowledge is ἐπίγνωσις – epígnōsis – epi-GNO-sis. It does not describe superficial information, but deep, personal, and practical knowledge.

God’s will is not a secret that He hides from His children. He reveals it to those who seek fellowship with Him. The better we come to know the Lord, the more clearly we also recognize His way for our lives.

Paul connects this knowledge with spiritual wisdom (σοφία – sophía – so-FEE-a) and understanding (σύνεσις – sýnesis – SY-neh-sis). Wisdom means understanding God’s truth. Understanding means knowing how to apply it rightly in everyday life. God does not only want to give us knowledge, but a heart that learns to live according to His thoughts.

📖 James 1:5

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.”

Whoever seeks God does not have to live in uncertainty. The Holy Spirit leads us step by step and gives us the wisdom we need for this very moment.

📖 John 16:13

“However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth.”

The closer we live to Jesus, the more clearly we recognize His will. His guidance does not grow out of fear, but out of a living relationship with Him.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — God wants to reveal His will to you and guide you in every step of His way.
