🕊️ Fear Not — God Does Not Reject a Sincere Heart

📖 Ezekiel 20:3 “Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Have you come to inquire of me? As I live, I will not be inquired of by you,’ says the Lord Yahweh.”

At first, this verse may sound frightening. It could seem as though God rejects people who come to Him. But that is not what this passage is saying. God does not reject anyone who sincerely seeks Him. The problem with the elders of Israel was not that they came to God, but that they sought Him only with their lips while their hearts still clung to their idols. They wanted to hear God’s counsel without being willing to follow Him.

The Hebrew word for “inquire” is דָּרַשׁ (darash [da-RASH]) and means “to seek earnestly, to inquire, to seek God with all one’s heart.” This was exactly the attitude of heart they lacked. God saw behind their religious appearance and recognized their true condition.

📖 Isaiah 29:13

“This people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.”

How comforting, by contrast, is the heart of God! Throughout the Bible, He invites people to come to Him. Jesus never rejected anyone who honestly came to Him — no matter what guilt or past they carried. He received sinners, forgave them, and gave them a new beginning.

📖 John 6:37

“Whoever comes to me, I will in no way cast out.”

Perhaps you sometimes wonder whether God still wants to receive you. His answer is clear: Yes! If you come to Him with a sincere heart, you will never be rejected. God is not looking for perfect people, but for honest hearts that are willing to trust Him and allow Him to transform them.

📖 Jeremiah 29:13

“You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.”

So come boldly to your Father in heaven. You do not have to improve yourself first before coming to Him. Come as you are — and allow Him to change your heart. Whoever sincerely seeks God finds no rejection in Him, but grace, forgiveness, and open arms.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — God never rejects the person who comes to Him with all their heart.
