🕊️ Fear Not – God Is Not Looking for Mere Words, but for a Faithful Heart

📖 Psalm 78:37 “For their heart was not right with him, neither were they faithful in his covenant.”

Psalm 78 repeatedly describes the same pattern: as long as Israel lived in safety, they forgot the Lord. But when trouble came, they suddenly sought His help. They cried out to God, yet their hearts had not truly changed. Their faith was often only a reaction to their circumstances, not the expression of a living relationship with Him.

How relevant this picture still is today. Many people claim that there is no God. At the same time, they blame God for the suffering in this world. And when sickness, fear, or crisis comes, they suddenly turn to Him and ask for help. Yet as soon as their situation improves, many return to their old way of life as though God had never intervened. They do not thank Him and often do not even want to acknowledge that He helped them.

But God is not looking for people who use Him only as an emergency exit. He desires a lasting relationship. True trust is not revealed only in difficult times, but also when everything is going well. A heart firmly rooted in God remains faithful to Him regardless of the circumstances.

đź“– James 4:8

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”

God rejects no one who comes to Him in a time of need. But His invitation goes much further: He does not want to be only your Helper in difficult moments, but the Lord of your entire life. Whoever seeks Him daily will discover that His presence is far more precious than any temporary help.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not – God is not looking only for your words in times of trouble, but for your heart for all time.
