🕊️ Fear Not — Jesus Seeks the One Lost Sheep (Part 2)

📖 Luke 15:4 “Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that was lost until he found it?”

Often, we focus only on the one lost sheep. Yet this parable reveals another wonderful truth: while the shepherd searches for the lost one, the ninety-nine are not forgotten.

God does not have to choose between seeking and protecting. He can do both at the same time. While His love goes after those who are lost, His faithfulness watches over those who already belong to His flock. No one slips out of His hand simply because He turns His attention toward someone else.

That is why God gives the Holy Spirit to everyone who comes to Him. He is not only a sign of our redemption, but also our constant Helper and Protector.

The Greek word παράκλητος (paraklētos, pa-ra-KLÄ-tos) means helper, advocate, comforter, or intercessor. That is exactly what the Holy Spirit is for every believer — God’s abiding presence in our lives.

📖 John 14:16–17

“I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever: the Spirit of truth.”

David also knew about God’s protecting hand.

📖 Psalm 121:7–8

“Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.”

While God is still seeking people today, He never leaves His children unprotected. His presence accompanies them every day, and His Holy Spirit leads, strengthens, and keeps them until they reach the goal.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — the Good Shepherd seeks the lost and at the same time protects His flock.
