🕊️ Fear Not — Jesus Seeks the One Lost Sheep (Part 1)

📖 Luke 15:4 “Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that was lost until he found it?”

This parable reveals the heart of God. Jesus does not tell us about a shepherd who gives up on the lost sheep or simply hopes that it will find its own way back. He sets out. He searches. He does not stop until he has found the one that was lost.

This is how God loves every person. No one is merely a number to Him. Every single person is precious. Perhaps today you feel far away from God, or you wonder whether He even still sees you. This parable answers that question clearly: God is looking for you. He does not wait passively, but comes after you.

The Greek word translated as “lost” is ἀπολλύω (apollyō, a-pol-LÜ-oh). It describes something that has been lost or seems destined for destruction. But Jesus came precisely to save people who are lost.

đź“– Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

No one has gone so far that God’s grace cannot reach them. His love is greater than our past, and His mercy never stops seeking us.

đź“– John 6:37
“I will in no way throw out whoever comes to me.”

When Jesus finds you, He does not come to condemn you, but to carry you home. His joy is greater than your failure.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — Jesus seeks you until He finds you.
