🕊️ Fear Not – One Hope, One Calling

Over the last few days, we have seen that God has called every believer and that we are to walk worthy of that calling. We also looked at how we are to approach that calling—with humility, gentleness, patience, and love. Today, Paul points us to another important aspect: the hope that is connected to our calling.

God’s calling is not merely about a task for this life. It is connected to a living hope. We are not walking without direction or purpose; we are moving toward a glorious destination. 📖 Romans 8:30 says, “Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.” God’s calling does not simply begin a work in us; it carries us toward the goal He has prepared.

Paul reminds us that there is one body and one Spirit. All believers belong to Christ and share the same hope. Therefore, our calling is not about becoming greater than others or making our own name known. We are part of something far greater—the body of Christ. 📖 1 Corinthians 12:12 says, “For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.”

This hope enables us to keep moving forward even when the path is difficult. Paul wrote these words as a prisoner, yet he never lost sight of God’s promises. 📖 Titus 2:13 speaks of “looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Our calling begins with God’s grace, is lived out through humility and love, and is sustained by the hope set before us. When we keep that hope in view, we can remain faithful even when we do not fully understand everything along the way.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — God has not only called you, but He has also given you a living hope that will carry you safely to the fulfillment of all His promises.
