🕊️ Fear Not – His Power Is at Work in You

Many Christians believe that God is powerful. But sometimes we forget that Paul is not speaking only about God’s power in general. He emphasizes that this power is at work “toward us who believe.” The God who created heaven and earth is not far away. He is at work in his children today.

This means that you do not have to rely on your own strength alone. When you feel weak, God’s power has not become weak. When you have no answers, he still possesses perfect wisdom. When you feel that you cannot go any further, his strength is far from reaching its end.

“He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.”
📖 Isaiah 40:29

The power Paul speaks about is not human motivation or a temporary boost of energy. It is God’s own power at work in believers. Just a few verses later, Paul even explains that it is the same mighty power that God worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead.

“Which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places.”

Think about that for a moment: The power of God that was mightily demonstrated in the resurrection of Jesus is not far from you. God himself works through his Spirit in his children. We do not always feel his work in the same way, but God’s faithfulness does not depend on our feelings. Even on days when you feel weak, he remains the same.

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”
📖 Philippians 2:13

When God leads us through difficult times, he does not leave us alone. His Spirit strengthens, comforts, guides, and carries us. God’s power does not always mean that we suddenly become strong ourselves. Sometimes it is revealed precisely in the fact that despite our weakness, we can keep going because his grace carries us.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
📖 2 Corinthians 12:9

Perhaps sometimes you look at your own abilities and think they are too small for what lies ahead. But God does not ask you to accomplish his tasks in your own strength. Where your strength is limited, his remains inexhaustible. You can rely on him and know: Whatever he asks you to do, you do not have to do it without him.

No challenge is greater than God’s strength. And even if an obstacle changes our own path, it cannot destroy God’s eternal purpose. The Lord who began his work in you is still at work today.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — you do not have to rely on your own strength; God’s power is at work in you and carries you even where your own strength comes to an end.
