🕊️ Fear Not – God’s Word Belongs in the Heart First

📖 Ezekiel 3:10 “Moreover he said to me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears.”

God did not simply tell Ezekiel to hear His words. He told him to receive them in his heart. There is a great difference between the two. Many people hear God’s Word with their ears, but God is looking for people who welcome His Word into their hearts.

In Scripture, the heart represents the inner person—our thoughts, desires, decisions, and convictions. God’s truth is not meant merely to increase our knowledge; it is meant to transform our lives. True obedience begins not with our hands or our feet, but with our hearts.

đź“– Proverbs 4:23
“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life.”

When God’s Word reaches our hearts, it changes the way we see everything. We begin to view difficulties differently, treat people differently, and trust God more deeply than before.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, demonstrated this principle beautifully. She did not merely hear God’s promises; she treasured them within her heart.

đź“– Luke 2:19
“But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart.”

Those who only hear God’s Word may quickly forget it. But those who meditate on it and treasure it in their hearts allow it to take root and bear fruit in their lives.

đź“– James 1:22
“But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.”

God was preparing Ezekiel for his calling. Before he could speak to others, God’s Word had to fill his own heart first. The same is true for us. The deepest transformation does not come from gathering more information, but from giving God’s truth room to work within us.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — do not receive God’s Word with your ears alone, but treasure it in your heart, for there it releases its power and transforms your life from the inside out.
