🕊️ Fear Not – God Is Not Looking for Half-Hearted Surrender
📖 Leviticus 1:17 “He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.”

At first glance, this instruction seems unusual. Why should the bird’s wings be torn but not completely separated? Yet in this very detail, we can see a beautiful picture. The bird was opened and spread out, but it remained whole. The burnt offering was presented completely before God.
The wings can remind us of strength, movement, and freedom. By being torn but not removed, the bird remained a complete offering. For us, this can be a picture that God does not want only certain areas of our lives, but our whole heart.
“I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.”

In this we can also recognize something that is perfectly fulfilled in Jesus Christ: He gave himself completely to the Father and held nothing back. His surrender did not depend on whether the path became easy or difficult. Even when facing the cross, his heart remained focused on the Father’s will.
At the same time, this offering reminds us that nothing is hidden before God. The opened sacrifice lay completely before his eyes.
“There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”

God knows our thoughts, our motives, our joy, and our struggles. Yet he invites us to come to him. We do not have to hide anything from our Papa or try to show him only the beautiful areas of our lives. Precisely because he knows us completely, we can also trust him completely.
Proverbs also reveals this desire of God’s heart:
“My son, give me your heart; and let your eyes keep in my ways.”

God is not looking for outward religion, but for a heart that entrusts itself completely to him. Surrender does not mean that we already have to be perfect. It means giving God access to our whole life — including the areas where we are still growing, struggling, or need his transforming work. We can say to him: Lord, here I am. Everything I am belongs to you.
When we look at Christ, we see perfect surrender. He did not give himself partially, but completely. Through him, we too can learn to lay our lives openly before God and entrust every area to him.
🙌 Therefore: Fear not — your Papa is not looking for a perfect appearance, but for your whole heart that opens itself to him in trust.
