🕊️ Fear not — God can surprise people through you

At Pentecost, something happened that no one had expected. The people heard the disciples speaking and were amazed. They knew where they came from: They were Galileans—ordinary people from whom no one expected anything like this. Yet it was precisely through them that God worked in an extraordinary way.

Perhaps you know the thought: What could God possibly do through me? Others are more gifted, better educated, or more persuasive speakers. But Pentecost shows us: God is not limited by our human qualifications.

The people saw Galileans. God saw people who made themselves available to Him.

Peter is a wonderful example of this. Not long before, out of fear, he had denied knowing Jesus. Now that same Peter boldly proclaimed Christ. What had changed? The Holy Spirit had filled him.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.”

The Greek word θαυμάζω – thaumázō (thau-MA-dzo): to marvel, to wonder, to be amazed describes exactly this reaction. What God was doing did not fit their expectations.

You do not have to become someone else before God can use you.

“God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong.”

Your weaknesses do not have to be an obstacle. It may be precisely there that it becomes visible that the power does not come from you, but from God.

🙌 Therefore: Fear not — your Papa can accomplish far more through your life than others—or even you yourself—could ever expect.
