🕊️ Do Not Fear – You May Ask Your Father Anything

Yesterday we reflected on the truth that we do not have to understand everything in order to believe. Today we turn to the last part of this verse, because it is remarkable: “They were afraid to ask Him about this statement.” The disciples did not understand Jesus, yet instead of asking Him, they remained silent because of fear.

How often do we act the same way? We have questions, we do not understand God's ways, or we struggle with doubts, yet sometimes we hesitate to bring these things before Him. Perhaps we think our questions are wrong or that they reveal weak faith.

But the Bible teaches the opposite. God invites His children to come to Him. He is not a harsh judge who rejects honest questions, but a loving Father.

📖 James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Jesus repeatedly answered the questions of His disciples. Many times they took Him aside and asked Him to explain His teaching, and He patiently instructed them. God is not afraid of our questions. He already knows them before we even speak them.

📖 Psalm 62:8
“Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him. God is our refuge.”

Sometimes God answers immediately. Sometimes He asks us to wait. And sometimes He does not immediately give an explanation but instead gives us His peace. Yet we may always come to Him. No prayer is too small, no concern too insignificant, and no question too difficult.

📖 Hebrews 4:16
“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence.”

🙌 Therefore: Do not fear—you have a heavenly Father who loves you, listens to you, and will never turn you away when you come to Him with your questions.
