🕊️ Do Not Fear – The Right Path Begins Early

This proverb is a loving encouragement to introduce young people to God’s ways from the very beginning. Children learn not only through words, but above all through the example of the people they live with. When they see that God’s Word is taken seriously, that prayer is part of everyday life, and that trust in the Lord is truly lived out, it often shapes their hearts for a lifetime.

This does not mean that there is a guarantee that every person will always walk on the right path. God has given every person free will. But this proverb reveals a spiritual principle: What is planted deeply in the early years often remains in the heart throughout life. “These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” 📖 Deuteronomy 6:6–7.

Paul also reminds Timothy how valuable early spiritual foundations are: “…because from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 📖 2 Timothy 3:15. Timothy benefited from the faith of his mother and grandmother, who had instructed him in God’s Word.

Whoever accompanies children—whether as parents, grandparents, or within the church—is investing in something of lasting value. Love, patience, and a genuine example can leave traces that God may take up again many years later. That is why it is worth continually pointing children to Jesus and showing them through our own lives what it means to walk with Him.

🙌 Therefore: Do not fear—every seed of God’s Word that you lovingly plant in a young heart can, in the Lord’s time, produce abundant fruit.
