🕊️ Do Not Fear – Guard Your Heart for the Lord
📖 1 Kings 11:4 “For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been.”

Solomon began his journey with a deep love for God. He did not ask for wealth or power but for wisdom to lead God's people. The Lord blessed him in extraordinary ways. Yet this verse reveals a serious truth: it is not the beginning of our journey that matters most, but our faithfulness throughout the entire journey.
It is remarkable that this passage speaks first about Solomon's heart rather than his actions. Long before someone makes wrong choices outwardly, something often changes inwardly. His heart was no longer fully devoted to the Lord.
đź“– Proverbs 4:23
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
The foreign gods did not suddenly appear in Solomon's life. Over many years, he made decisions that slowly drew him away from God's ways. What first seemed small eventually gained influence over his heart. That is why Scripture warns us in:
đź“– 1 Corinthians 15:33
“Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good character.”
At the same time, we also see God's love in this account. This story was not written to condemn us, but to protect us. The Lord shows us how important it is to remain close to Him every day.
đź“– John 15:5
“Whoever remains in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
David was not perfect, but his heart continually returned to the Lord. That is exactly what God desires from us—not a flawless life, but a heart that belongs to Him and continually turns back to Him.
🙌 Therefore: Do not fear—keep your heart close to Jesus. His grace will preserve you on the journey, and His love will continually draw you back to Himself.
