🕊️ Do Not Fear – God's Righteousness Leads to Repentance
📖 Lamentations 1:18 “The LORD is righteous, for I have rebelled against His command. Listen, all you peoples, and see my sorrow. My young men and young women have gone into captivity.”

Jeremiah speaks these words in the midst of great distress. Jerusalem had fallen, the people had been taken into exile, and the consequences of their disobedience were visible everywhere. Yet what is remarkable is that Jeremiah does not accuse God. Instead, he declares, “The LORD is righteous.”
This is true humility. Many people first look for someone else to blame or point to their circumstances. But spiritual maturity begins when we acknowledge God's judgment and confess that He is right.

“The LORD our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice.”
God's righteousness does not mean that He delights in judgment. His heart is always set on restoration. Even in the book of Lamentations we find hope.
📖 Lamentations 3:22–23
“The LORD’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.”
When we fail, God does not call us to despair but to repentance.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
His righteousness is revealed not only in judgment but also in His faithfulness, forgiveness, and restoration for everyone who returns to Him.
Whoever recognizes God's righteousness also discovers His mercy. The Lord never rejects the one who humbles his heart before Him. He restores, heals, and gives a new beginning.
🙌 Therefore: Do not fear— the same righteous God who calls sin by its true name is also the merciful Father who offers forgiveness and a new beginning to everyone who returns to Him.
