🕊️ Do Not Fear – God Sees Your Inmost Being

When we read this verse, we may wonder why God specifically mentions the entrails. Why not only the skin, the meat, or the outward parts of the sacrifice? Because here God wants to teach us something about His own nature and about the human heart.

In the Old Testament, the entrails symbolized a person's hidden inner being. They represented thoughts, emotions, motives, and everything that no other person can see. People often judge by outward appearance, but God looks at what is hidden deep within us.

📖 1 Samuel 16:7
“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

It is remarkable that the entrails had to be washed first. Through this, God showed that true purity is not merely outward. A person may appear religious while still having impure motives. But God desires truth in the innermost being.

📖 Psalm 51:6
“Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts.”

After the entrails had been cleansed, they were placed on the altar. This reminds us that not only our actions belong to God, but also our thoughts, desires, hopes, and motives. The Lord does not want only part of our lives—He desires our whole inner being.

This sacrifice points to Jesus Christ. His entire inner being was perfectly pure. His thoughts, His intentions, and His will were completely united with the Father. Therefore, He could say:

📖 John 8:29
“I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.”

Even today, God continues to work in our innermost being. Through His Word, He cleanses not only our behavior but also our thoughts and motives.

📖 Ephesians 5:26
“…having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.”

The Lord works where no one else can see.

🙌 Therefore: Do not fear—God knows every hidden movement of your heart, and it is precisely those deepest places that He desires to fill with His love, His truth, and His grace.
