🕊️ Do Not Fear – God Invites You to Come to Him

These words of Jesus are not an invitation to persuade God or to move Him to do something He does not really want to do. Rather, they reveal the heart of our heavenly Father. God invites us to come to Him with everything. He does not close His door to His children.

Asking reminds us that we depend on God. Seeking shows that we desire to know Him and His ways. Knocking describes a fellowship with Him that can grow ever deeper. Jesus paints the picture of a God who is approachable and who desires to be found.

“You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.”

📖 Jeremiah 29:13

God does not hide Himself from those who sincerely seek Him. His desire is fellowship with us. Therefore, we can continue coming to Him even when an answer is not immediately visible. Asking, seeking, and knocking do not mean that God has not heard us. Rather, they reveal a heart that continues to place its hope in Him and trusts that He knows what we truly need.

Especially in times of waiting, this trust can grow. We do not have to interpret God’s silence as His absence. Even when we do not yet see any change, we can know that our prayer has reached Him. He knows not only our request, but also the right way and the right time.

And it is not only about individual prayers being answered. Often, while seeking, we discover something even more precious: God’s presence.

“I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

Ultimately, God’s greatest gift is not what He gives, but that we find Him Himself. Jesus takes this thought even further in Luke 11. He reminds His listeners that even earthly fathers desire to give good things to their children. How much more, then, can we trust in the goodness of our heavenly Father. Our confidence in prayer is therefore not based on how perfectly we ask, but on how good the Father is.

James also encourages us:

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”

Every step toward God is a response to His call, because He sought us long before we began seeking Him. Even when we cannot find the right words, we can come to Him. God does not expect a perfect formulation. He sees the heart that seeks Him and already knows our needs before we speak them before Him.

Jesus wants us to come to our Father with confidence. Not with fear, not with uncertainty, but with the trust of a child who knows that the door is open. We can ask because He hears, seek because He allows Himself to be found, and knock because He desires to give us fellowship with Himself.

🙌 Therefore: Do not fear—ask, seek, and knock, for your heavenly Father delights in everyone who comes to Him and allows Himself to be found by those who seek Him with all their heart.
