🕊️ Do Not Fear – Called to Be a Blessing

This verse shows how seriously God takes the responsibility of those who influence other people. Baasha and Elah not only sinned themselves, but they also led others onto the wrong path. Those whom God calls receive not only a privilege but also a responsibility.

The New Testament word for “calling” is κλῆσις – klēsis (KLAY-sis), meaning “calling, God's invitation.” A divine calling means that God calls a person into His service and entrusts them with a purpose. It is never about drawing people to ourselves, but about leading them closer to God.

Therefore, Scripture exhorts us in 📖 Ephesians 4:1:

“Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.”

Our words, our decisions, and our conduct should reflect what God has spoken.

God has always called His people to be a blessing. Already to Abraham He said in 📖 Genesis 12:2:

“I will bless you… and you shall be a blessing.”

The Hebrew word for “blessing” is בְּרָכָה – Berakhah (beh-ra-KHAH), meaning “blessing, well-being, divine favor.”God's intention was never that His people would lead others astray, but that through them life, truth, and hope would be shared.

That is why Paul writes in 📖 Ephesians 4:29:

“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”

Our words should build up, not tear down; lead people to the truth, not into confusion.

Serving God carries responsibility. Yet we do not bear that responsibility by our own strength. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth and reminds us of God's Word. As we remain close to the Lord, our words and our lives increasingly become a testimony of His grace.

🙌 Therefore: Do not fear—God has not called you to impress people, but so that through your life His truth, His love, and His blessing may become visible.
